  Not a huge fan of being THE minority. I just return from a ten day trip to a small agricultural village named Repelle in Andhra Pradesh. I travelled there with my courageous little sister Tess and my honoring dad. In Repelle there is a ministry called IREF (India Rural Evangelical Fellowship) that my dad has supported greatly since their foundations were laid in the early 80's. It was such an honor to be exposed to this amazing and eye-opening culture that my dad has talked about my whole life. 

  IREF (irefusa.org) is a Christian college that focuses their efforts in child care and a pristine Christian rooted education. The majority of the children come from huts where their parents are deceased and the support is lacking to build a sufficient lifestyle. IREF pulls these children from their huts to give them stability, a proper education and lasting morals that will help guide them for the remainder of their lives. At IREF, you can find 1st grade through grad school, along with a Tech campus and an 18 month nursing program.

  I had the great honor to create a short documentary about IREF. I filmed for 6 days straight; visiting the local farms, riding the local transportation to small communities where I was able to ask locals about their living situations (through a translator) and I got a glimpse into some of the unique professions that a family might hold for the rest of their lives.
