Curved House by Hufft Projects

Hufft Projects designed the Curved House in Springfield, Missouri.

Description from the designers:
The Curved House is a modern residence with distinctive lines. Conceived in plan as a U-shaped form, this residence features a courtyard that allows for a private retreat to an outdoor pool and a custom fire pit. The master wing flanks one side of this central space while the living spaces, a pool cabana, and a view to an adjacent creek form the remainder of the perimeter. A signature masonry wall gently curves in two places signifying both the primary entrance and the western wall of the pool cabana. An eclectic and vibrant material palette of brick, Spanish roof tile, Ipe, Western Red Cedar, and various interior finish tiles add to the dramatic expanse of the residence. The client’s interest in suitability is manifested in numerous locations, which include a photovoltaic array on the cabana roof, a geothermal system, radiant floor heating, and a design which provides natural daylighting and views in every room.

Jason Munn's Minimalist Band Posters

When I stumbled across Jason Munn's work, I was immediately attracted to his creative twist with minimalism. His work is the sort of stuff I aspire to design my whole apartment around.

Nikon D800

I recently bought the new Nikon D800 and have been doing a few experiments. I bought the camera for its high megapixel count for my studio portraiture and product photography. I recently tested it as my back-up camera at a wedding and it soared when outdoors. I can crop those suckers all I want ;). Indoors too, I was very surprised. I would say the ISO performance is a touch better than my D700 (which I'm more than pleased with.
Here are a few shots I recently took by Lake Michigan with the D800.

Smokey-Wilson Johnson

My buddy Zac Bogue and I made this short film a few weeks ago. Thought I'd share it.
